Green building and sustainability
Construction see or Greenbuilding is a building that seeks, from its conception to the end of its useful life, to meet high sustainability criteria, such as resident comfort, energy efficiency, resource savings, especially environmental and other important requirements for society.
Sustainable buildings are increasingly in demand as people become aware of the impact their attitudes can have on the environment. We know that the more electricity we consume in Brazil, the more hydroelectric plants are needed, demanding more and more water resources. Even in a country as rich as ours, consuming without thinking about it can lead to rapid environmental degradation. It is estimated that a large part of the water consumed on the planet is used by buildings and buildings.
Another important aspect of the impact of constructions, especially buildings, on nature is the demand for raw materials for the construction of the work, such as stones, water, wood, iron and others.
An important part of the raw materials taken from nature finds its destination in the construction sector, as happens when we talk about the consumption of electricity and the production of urban waste. Therefore, the level of sustainability of a building is directly related to the level of resource consumption that it imposes on the environment.
